Week 6 update

My cruise is almost here! I started this whole challenge to get ready for the cruise and I think I am pretty much ready for it! I am hoping to do one more update before I leave but my schedule is crazy busy so I might be posting it when I get back.. we will see how it goes! Then I will keep posting more updates to get ready for my NPC Bikini Show at the end of March.. SO nervous for that!

This week I kicked it up A LOT! Tuesday morning I woke up and literally was walking around straight legged because I was so sore from Mondays Leg day! I worked out with my coach on Monday and he literally kicked my butt. He up the weight by like 25lbs-50lbs on all my squat machines and made me go so deep! Then when I thought I couldn't do anymore he would say "Now three more", seriously I almost died. But I am so glad I am pushing through it because the results are coming! I can't wait to see the results 4 weeks from now! I am so excited for the show yet so nervous to be on stage in a bikini! AH!

Tons of my instagram followers were asking about ab work outs when I posted this. I usually work out my core 3 times a week. I will do a blog post soon with all the work outs. My favorite is hanging leg lifts! Try those if you can! They are pretty hard but get awesome results!

  1. What's your schedule like with 2 little ones? How do you find time to go to the gym twice a day?

    1. I go in the mornings for my cardio before anyone wakes up and before the hubby goes to work. Then we have a pass to Gold's Gym which includes free daycare so we take them with us in the evenings and they love playing there with the other kids!

  4. Hi Mckinli! Thank you for the blogspot. I am really happy that your posts are insightful and informative!
Please post some more when you get back. I would love to see more of your workouts. I am debating getting a trainer to push me harder. How many days a week did you use your trainer vs working out solo? I am 5'8" and 123lbs. I am trying to drop some weight first. Do you think I should limit my weight training while I am trying to drop weight? Or should I add more cardio?
    Thanks!

    1. Hey! Trainers are great to push you harder and really teach you what you need to do because everyone is different! Doing cardio in the mornings on an empty stomach burns lots of calories and fat! But lifting weight burns lots too!! So both are important! :)

    1. The first few months I just ate what sounded good because barley anything sounded good too eat ha! Then I would just try to keep eating healthy. My doctor told me I could keep doing the same work outs that I was doing when I wasn't pregnant and just judge it with how I felt. Walking every day on the treadmill was great and I think helped with labor! Hope that helps!

  6. Hi, I love your bolgs. They are great. I have started the 30 day challenge and I am in my second week. The first week was a little hard but has gotten easier with the end of the second week. What other dinner meals did you eat? And did you do portion control too?
