NPC Nationals- ROUND 2!

Since I started competing I have had a goal to get my Pro Card. In order to get your Pro Card you have to first place Top 3 at a National Qualifier (which I did so, when I placed 1st in March at the NPC Utah Show), after you do that you can enter a National Show. The show I did back in July was a National Show and this show was my second attempt at getting a Pro Card. Many girls compete in several National Shows before ever getting theirs so even though I have done 2, I'm not discouraged yet!

There were about 300 girls that competed in this show! We are all divided into 6 categories by our height. Since I am so tall I competed in the tallest category which was F. My main goal with this show was to come in with a lower Body Fat % and get a higher placing. Before I left for the Show I got  my body fat % tested and it came in at 11% (in July I was at 15.8%) so I was very excited about this!

The show was SUPER fun! It was so much less stressful than my first National Show because I knew the how everything would run. I just went out and had fun with it instead of totally stressing out over my placing! I ended up in second call out and in 10th place. Which at first I was a little bummed about, to work so hard to get that Pro Card and not get it can be disappointing. But then I realized how far I had come and that it was only a matter of time before I get my Pro Card!

I decided to switch coaches 3 weeks prior to competing.. This was a BIG deal because my new coach hadn't worked with me before and didn't know how my body would react to certain meal plans. The last few weeks leading up to a show are the most important. To say I was impressed with my new coaches, Taylor & Ryan, would be an understatement. I have never walked into a show more tight and on point than this show. They have so much experience in training competitors that they knew exactly what to do to get me where I needed to be! I am SO excited to work with them for my next show, which I had planned to be another National Show in June.... BUT it turns out I'm PREGNANT! So as much as I love shows, they will be put on hold for a bit while I enjoy getting a big old belly and adding a new little bundle of joy to our family! <3 So get ready for some fit pregnancy posts & getting in shape after baby posts!!

I have tried so many pre-workout products over the years and didn't find one that I really loved until I discovered Warrior Fuel! I first tried out their Banana Taffy BCAA and after falling in love with that I started trying out all their other products! & Every one of them is AMAZING!!

Twirling with my baby girl.

Since the day Laikynn was born I've always called her my baby girl. Lately she's been telling me she isn't a baby because baby can't talk and she can. Little did she know she will always be my baby girl and I hope she doesn't get too big to twirl around with her mama.

SO I am going to try to play catch up before I post all the new stuff. If you follow me on IG then you have already seen some of these outfits, but if you don't (you should) then here you are!

This was probably my favorite outfit this Summer.

Meal Prep

I read somewhere that reaching your weight loss goals is about 80% diet, 20% exercise. I used to not believe it.... until I had a goal and tried it. If you would like extremely slow results I recommend trying out the just exercise thing. If you want to see some serious results, take a look at what your eating.

Every week I have a check in with my coach to track my progress and every week I have to explain to my coach why I cheated on my meal plan. Cheating on my meal plan doesn't mean eating a huge cheat meal when I'm not suppose to (well... sometimes), it can even be just having a few little bites or not measuring out my portions. I know that one of the main reasons I didn't place where I wanted in my last show was because of my diet and lack of meal planning. So I have been trying SO hard to follow my meal plan exactly! But my schedule is VERY busy, some days I don't have a second to even breathe let alone meal prep. Then when I try to meal prep the day of it becomes even more time consuming. After explaining all of this to my coach he told me I needed to contact 1% Fitness.

1% Fitness is a meal prep company. They take all the questioning out of meal prep and provide you with clean, healthy meals. All you have to do is give them a few details about yourself, and they will prepare a plan to fit your goals. Best part? Any plan can be tailored to fit your specific needs. Right now,  my coach is sending them my meal plan and they make it all! I just pick it up once a week (or they ship Nation Wide) and my meals are exactly how I need them to be!

Since using them I have noticed a HUGE change! I dropped 4lbs in 2 weeks, which is a lot for me! And I just can't say enough good stuff about how convenient it is for this busy mama!!

Now the question you are all thinking, "Is the food good?". I will be 100% honest. This is actually not the first meal prep company I have tried. I tried out another local meal prep company not too long ago and I was very unsatisfied with the meals. It kind of left a bad taste in my mouth (literally) about meal prep companies and I was hesitate to try another one. But since my coach was highly recommending them, I thought I would give it a try. And now, I'm hooked!! The food is SO yummy!!! When I brought the food home the first week my husband was a little jealous that all my meals were already prepared. So he tried some bites here and there to try it out and now he is also ordering from 1%! So 1% is getting me out of cooking for both my husband and I, SCORE! Oh, and it's so good that my kids even will eat it!

If you are busy like me or just have no idea where to begin with clean eating then I highly recommend trying out 1% Fitness.

Give them a call and tell them I referred you for 15% off your first week of food!
