Green Smoothie Challenge: Day 1

Today was my first day of my green smoothie challenge! I consider it a successful day not because I completed the challenge today but because I convinced Devan AND my kids to drink their green smoothie as well! WAHOO! (Really though, knowing that my kids started off their day eating something healthy makes me feel like I'm doing my job right!)

  • 2 cups Spinach
  • 2 Bananas
  • 1 cup Strawberries 
  • 1 cup almond milk
  • 1 scoop Berry Protein
  • 1 scoop Sprouted Flax Seeds
    (If your fruit isn't frozen, add in a cup of ice)

& as promised, here is a good at home workout! Today was a Plank Challenge!

Try 15 reps, 5 sets!

  1. I'm allergic to bananas so I never add those but I've been making green smoothies for a few years now. My 2 year old will drink hers most of the time as well. I do orange/mango juice, baby spinach/baby kale blend, yogurt or protein powder, Frozen Tropical Fruit, wheatgrass powder and ground flax seeds. It fills me up and is such a healthy way to start the day. I am loving your new fitness blogging and I can't wait to start doing the workouts once I'm done with my second pregnancy. :)
