I posted this photo on Instagram the other day because I was reminiscing about the days when I would flex & my muscles would actually show.. (HA!) Don't get me wrong, I am overly joyed to be pregnant again and waited what seemed like forever to finally get pregnant BUT I'm a girl and can't help but feel huge every time I try on an outfit and realize there is no possible way it is going to fit, ha!
I'm now at 27 weeks and totally slacking at pregnancy updates & posts! I have such good intentions then life, kids and work happen so blog posts don't. I feel like I should go back to the chalk board posts just so I am committed to posting once a week!
As far as pregnancy goes, baby is doing fantastic! He is moving all over the place! He is just like his brother and so active! It is rare when I get sick, unless it's been awhile in between meals. Energy levels totally depend on the day. Some days are great and I am so motivated to get stuff done while other days I just want to sit down all and relax all day. Luckily I can work from home so I get to listen to my body and do what I feel is necessary that day.
As far as workouts and eating clean goes, I am trying my best to stay motivated to going to the gym! I love going to the gym, it's a stress reliever and my 'me time', but some days I am just too tired to go. Shocking right?? You all thought I was still pulling 2 a days! (yeah, no thank you.) I would say my diet is about 80% clean right now. I was to remaining working out and eating clean because I want to make it that much easier on my body to get back into shape after the baby is born.
If this baby comes early like his sister did then that means I only have 10 weeks left! WAHOO!
I have had multiple questions regarding my hair color so I decided to make a blog post to answer all of you at once. First things first, if you wish to obtain this hair color you must have 2 things. 1. Patience 2. A Good Hair Stylist
It has taken me several trips to the salon to try to get this color. I'm not completely in love with it yet but hopefully my next trip I will have finally achieved it. Everyone's hair handles color differently so some can get the ashy look sooner than other. Every time I go into the salon I just tell them that I want it a white ash, & the ashier the better. It's been a long process trying to color my hair & extensions so they match because extensions absorb the color much faster then my real hair.
Once you do get the ash you've been looking for I recommend getting a purple shampoo. It helps take the brassy tones out of it. I use Bed Head & Shimmer Lights Shampoo and Conditioner . I put the purple shampoo on the roots first then the rest of my natural hair, avoiding my extensions, for about 10 minutes.
For my maternity style I did the same thing I did with my jeans. I just went to the mall and got a few pairs of shorts that were a couple sizes up from what I normally wear. I attempted to look for a cute pair of maternity shorts and realize that they don't exist. I figure I won't be pregnant too much of the summer so hopefully the ones I bought will last the rest of the pregnancy.
At the beginning of this pregnancy I was convinced I was having twins. The main reason was because I was SO sick. My first two pregnancies I wasn't very sick at all so to have a completely different experience I assumed there must be two babies in there. Once I found out there was in fact only 1 baby I began to think it was a girl. I was slightly more sick with Laikynn and I have heard that you experience more morning sickness with a girl. So then I was convinced I was having a girl. Funny story, I was convinced my first was a girl and my second was a boy.. so obviously I am really good at guessing the gender of my babies HA!
Before we found out the gender I decided to plan a cute little gender reveal photo shoot with cupcakes and tulle skirts (because I was so convinced it was a girl). Well turns out baby is a boy and so we didn't get the chance to wear these darling skirts for the gender reveal. However, they are SO cute that we will just wear them all summer long to parties and wedding! If you have followed my blog before you know how much we LOVE Bliss Tulle!
This pregnancy is all about trying my best to combine comfort with style. Not going to lie, most days I end up staying in my workout clothing because what is more comfortable then leggings & Nike's?? But I do try to look some what put together when I am out and about! I have about 3 months left of this pregnancy so I don't really want to be dropping tons of money on maternity clothing unless it is necessary.
I love that loose, tunics are in style right now! I already own a bunch so they have been my go-to! They are long enough to cover my growing belly & loose enough that I don't feel like I am ruining any of them by stretching them out. I feel like they tend to hide the bump a little more which is great in the first trimester when you are in the awkward pregnancy stage where no one is really sure if you put on a couple pounds or are actually pregnant! Top // Free People (sold out) similar Now let's talk maternity jeans... I have searched for some decent looking and fitting maternity jeans but have yet to find any that I really love. So I decided just buy some jean/jeggings that are a few sizes bigger than I normally wear. I love Flying Monkey Jeans because of the amazing stretch in them! They are SO comfortable! Then once my belly outgrows the jeans I just throw on a belly band! Jeans // Flying Monkey via: Target Belly Band // Target
For shoes I have been buying mostly flats or a slight wedge, just so I can chase other children around with my big belly! These are flats are my new FAV! I am so tempted to buy them in other colors too!! Shoes: Steve Madden
